Though I wouldn’t deny that this is their way of making money, but there have been other file hosting websites that have provided free and paid access to their utilities for anybody in need of a place to host their important files and documents. Founded in 2006, the file hosting website claims to be one of the biggest and fastest file hosts in the world, that means people can make downloads at a very fast speed rate. It boasts about their success in reaching the top 20 websites in the world, assuring people that they aren’t stopping just yet. With just two years of experience, I decided to check out what Rapidshare has to offer and in the end was very much impressed by how easy the features were and how fast the uploading speed was. It has a Free Zone and a Premium Zone, so it didn’t cost me any money to try out their file hosting utilities. For those who are running online businesses can use their Premium accounts for maximum storage capacity and fast internet bandwidth, getting very high downloads speed.
Rapidshare.com works wonderfully even for users who prefer the Collector’s account, which is the term used for the free accounts. I was able to upload about five files into my account and they were stored in less than a minute; to think that my internet connection is very slow at the moment. The graphics and scripts used in certain parts of the website were very inviting and attractive, which gives them a big thumbs up since online users go for websites that are professional and well-designed. The FAQ and About page sections were very informative, especially with regards to technical issues and the use of their Premium accounts. Apparently a lot of people have opted to go Premium because of the benefits it gives them such as maximum internet speed at low costs and a massive storage capacity that could hold even the heaviest of files. This works great for anybody who needs file hosting services because not only can you be assured of your files being uploaded instantly, but there is no threat whatsoever such as virus-infested accounts or your personal files and information distributed elsewhere.
Interestingly enough, Rapidshare has done a lot since its creation in 2006. I would commend the management team for their hard work in making this website an easy utility for people who are in need of instant file hosting. To my surprise the website has no advertising whatsoever anywhere, which gives me the idea that the company is earning enough and does not have to depend on advertising to earn money to sustain the website. Their premium accounts are already their gold mine, with services and technical help that really honor its tagline, “Easy File Hosting”. Thanks to Rapidshare, I won’t have to worry anymore of my important documents being hacked by other people since I can just upload them here and delete them instantly.
There is also another version which domain is Rapidshare.de, even if its owned by the same person i don’t know why they have different websites and they do the same.
