I have thousands of files and media that I want to back up, and yet I haven’t found a good file hosting website anywhere in which I can upload as many files and download them as much as I can. A lot of file hosting service providers do this in order to get people to buy their premium accounts, which in reality are just add-ons to the usual features plus added downloading speed to give them something worth their extra cash. I try as much as possible to find out if a particular file hosting provider has this trick up their sleeve and once I do I immediately go back to the search result pages to look for another one. One day, I was lucky enough to come across a file hosting website that provides unlimited uploading privileges and unlimited downloading power all at the same time. Guys, I’m talking about Mediafire, a file hosting service provider that allows you to upload, organize, and download as many files no matter how often or how seldom.

Okay, having unlimited uploads and downloads is a very tempting line to resist, but I made sure to look through the site’s background information to see if they really are providing their members with these privileges. The first thing that I noticed was the testimonials that kept flashing in their homepage; companies like C|Net, PC World, and Lifehacker actually find them a file hosting provider renowned all over the world. Lines like, “Top 100 Classic Websites” and “Mediafire…too good to be true” are indicators of a very good and very reliable website and Mediafire has gotten a few of them to count. True enough, after I started uploading and downloading files to check if the uploading and downloading rates were impressive, I was very much impressed. It was faster than any other file hosting service that I have ever encountered and it uses advanced graphics to really make uploading a fun and interesting experience. After clicking on the Start Upload button, a lot of data such as the percentage of the upload and the files being verified are all displayed in just one page. I don’t have to worry about pauses during the upload since I can see it all here in my member’s page.

Overall, I give Mediafire.com a rating of 10 out of 10 for its organized system of file hosting and the professional look it gave for its website. It really upholds its claim as the number one file sharing service provider in the world, providing unlimited storage space, unlimited downloading, uploads, and even bandwidth for users without any cost at all. The only time that you are required to pay is when you want to avail of uploads of up to 10GB per file, no ads around your member page, SSL encryption, statistical reports, etc. Being an ordinary user who just needs enough space for my files, I do not really need all of those features to back up my files.
