Twentieth Century Fox Films said the latest X-Men movie has been leaked online through bittorrent protocol which is a controversial file-sharing program that allows faster transfer of digital contents.

The film company said the leaked movie in its raw version can now be illegally access by anyone.  This movie is supposed to be released next month in theater.

Meanwhile, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the American Film Studio are conducting investigations regarding the incident which is believed to be one of the worst Internet movie piracy since the creation of the bittorrent protocol.

In an effort to discourage people from watching the leaked X-Men movie, Fox said that viewers will not enjoy watching it as the copy is still in raw and unedited version.

The company also warned the websites, which illegally posted the movie, will be prosecuted in the fullest extent of the law.  Meanwhile, Fox also said that it is now conducting investigations to identify the responsible person behind the illegal distribution of X-Men.

In a statement, the studio company said the copy lacks special effects and sound bytes which means that people will not enjoy watching the raw version of the movie.

According to earlier reports, thousands of people have already accessed and viewed the illegal copy of X-Men.

Music and movie industries have long been waging war against some bittorrent websites which are accused of committing infringement of copyright law by illegally distributing digital files without giving royalty fees to producers and artists.

According to Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the movie industry is losing billions of dollars every year due to online piracy.
