Even before the latest album of the popular rock band U2 has been released worldwide, it has already been circulating from various bittorrent sites on Wednesday which allowed people to access the songs, according to a report by cnet news.
The band’s twelfth album called “No Line on the Horizon” can already be downloaded from multiple online sites even if its launching in Ireland should have been next week.
The music album, which will be introduced on the first week of March worldwide, can also be found in LimeWire which is one of the most popular music sharing websites as it boasts thousands of users everyday.
Meanwhile, producers of the rock band’s latest album blame the bittorrent owners for illegally sharing the songs to people which will result to massive profit loss of the record label and the band itself.
In terms of quality, some downloaders said that the sound is almost the same as listening to CD.
Because U2 has already experienced the same problem in the past, they decided that reviewers will no longer received advanced copies of their album and instead would only conduct the review in a room where no one was allowed to bring any digital recording device including mobile phones.
U2 has experienced numerous cases of leaked album which can be blamed not just in bittorrent sites but also from the band’s worldwide popularity.
The recording industry has long been waging battle against bittorrent sites, accusing the latter of illegally distributing songs using the Internet which caused music companies to lose millions of revenue annually.
